week 1 : AWARENESS
See what you usually ignore

welcome to the journey
This week is about noticing.
Before changing anything, you need to understand your current habits.
You’ll track your waste, count plastic, and look deeper into everyday behaviors that usually go unnoticed. Most people never pause to see their impact. You’re about to change that.
By the end of this week, you won’t just “throw things away” you’ll actually understand what that means.
meet your challenges

Day 1 – Waste Audit
Track everything you throw away.
For one full day, don’t change your habits. Just observe.
Food packaging. Receipts. Plastic wrappers. Tissues. Everything.
At the end of the day, take a photo or write a short list of what you threw away.
Awareness is the first step toward change.

Day 2 – Plastic Count
For the next 24 hours, pay attention to every plastic item you use.
Water bottles.
Food packaging.
Shopping bags.
Delivery containers.
Straws.
Snack wrappers.
Don’t change anything yet. Just observe and count.
At the end of the day, write down your total.

Day 3 – Trash Journey
Take 10–15 minutes to research what happens to waste in your city.
Is it sent to a landfill?
Incinerated?
Recycled?
Exported somewhere else?
“Out of sight” doesn’t mean it disappears.

Day 4 – Hidden Waste
List 3 daily habits that create waste indirectly.
Examples:
-
Ordering delivery frequently
-
Using paper towels instead of cloth
-
Single-use coffee cups
These aren’t about guilt. They’re about awareness.

Day 5 – Food Check
Open your fridge.
What’s close to expiring?
What have you forgotten about?
Identify at least one item you can use before it expires.
Plan a meal around it.

Day 6 – Sustainable Wardrobe Check
Select 10 garments you wear often.
Reflect on:
-
Materials
-
Construction quality
-
Usage
-
Brand responsibility
